Welcome to the Australian National University Sailing Club. We are located on the southern shore of Lake Burley Griffin in Yarralumla, Canberra. Membership is open to students and staff of the ANU, and graduates of any recognised tertiary institution.

The sailing season runs from late September to April and we generally sail Saturday afternoons and Tuesday evenings, weather permitting. Members can participate in casual Tuesday evening racing and more formal Saturday afternoon racing run by the nearby YMCA Sailing Club (note race fees or YMCA SC membership are required for Saturday racing).  Additionally, each year the club normally sponsors a student team to participate in University Games, and several boats in interstate regattas including at Wallagot Lake and Bateman’s Bay.

The club has a fleet of approximately 15 dinghies including Lasers, Tasars, Pacers and Sharpies, as well as multiple windsurfers. Use of the club boats is free for members (following successful completion of a beginners course and/or assessment of sailing skills). Beginners courses are run a couple of times a year generally starting October and running through to March.

The club also owns stand-up paddle boards and kayaks that are available for members to use year round.
